• light mystery
• small town/academia setting
• relatable characters
This one is a short and light mystery set in small town West Texas (LOVE this setting!) and academia. I enjoyed the plot, which at its core is about supporting aging parents (both physically and emotionally) and how you always feel that pull to home. The mystery kept me intrigued and I had to know what was going on! I do wish we could have gotten some of the characters' backstories. I enjoyed the author's writing style and look forward to more from her!
